Well good evening. I started this blog a year ago just to get my feelings out. Now, I’m thinking I want to make it public. I have a wealth of knowledge and experiences to share. It isn’t fair that I keep this all to myself. So you can call this a re-branding of sorts. Let’s start!
Hello, my full name is Tatyana Aspasia Donaldson. I am a special educator, 2nd year MSW student, and a Black woman living with anxiety. All of that within one sentence may sound odd to you but in fact, they come together quite beautifully and quite ugly at the same time. My hope with this blog is to let people further into my thoughts as I conquer the Quarter Life Crisis and this thing called “Life” all at the same time.
I am a “sophistiratchet” scholar! (S/O to my fellow Mellon peeps!) I love all things regarding social justice, social work, and education. Most importantly, I ride for Black women and girls. Period! I’m straight forward so what you see is what you will get! Through this blog, I will discuss what high-functioning anxiety looks like, how education and social work intersect, and most importantly to inspire others! I hope that you will join me on this journey through the discomfort on to the beauty!
With love,
Tatyana
This blog is about to be amazing! Iām super excited. š
